After pet dog’s death, man ends life

Bengaluru: Upset after a pet dog died of illness Tuesday, its 33-year-old parent died by suicide, hanging himself with the canine's chain in his Heggadedevanapura residence in Madanayakanahalli, Wednesday.
The deceased is Rajashekhar C, who was self-employed. The incident came to light Wednesday morning when his mother walked into his room and found him hanging. Rajashekar lived with his mother and elder sister.
According to family sources, Rajashekhar was very much attached to ‘Bouncy', his nine-year-old German Shepherd. "Owing to illness, Bouncy died in the house Tuesday morning. By afternoon, Rajashekhar buried it near his house. Since then, he was upset," police quoted family sources as saying. No death note was available from the crime scene, police added.
