77 get Rajyothsava awards

BANGALORE: Seventy-seven names were cleared for this year''s Rajyothsava awards. It includes heroine of yesteryears Harini, theatre person S Prasanna, dancer Padmini Ramachandran, Lingayat seer Nedumamidi Veerabhadra Chennamalla Swami and Vaastu expert K N Somayaji.
Karnataka’s revenue minister M P Prakash said the list would be formally announced on Thursday morning.The list is said to include outgoing Karnataka Sahitya Academy president Guruling Kapase and writer H S Parvati.
The Rajyothsava awards committee on Tuesday gave a shortlist of 65 names for chief minister N Dharam Singh’s perusal. This increased to 77 on Wednesday.
