720 child beggars rescued: Min

Bengaluru: In an attempt to curb begging menace, the state government conducted special drives recently and rescued 720 children, social welfare minister Kota Srinivas Poojary said on Monday. Most of these kids were trafficked, drugged and forced to beg. They have been sent to rehabilitation centres, the minister added. tnn
