Bangalore: Sapna Book House will release 52 Kannada books on November 1 to mark this year's Rajyotsava. This is the first time in Karnataka for a publishing firm to release 52 books in a day.
The books include works of well-known Kannada writers such as G S Shivarudrappa, K S Nissar Ahmed, G Venkatasubbaiah, S L Sheshagiri Rao, H S Doreswamy, Chidananda Murthy, Patil Puttappa and Doddarange Gowda.
Shivaram Karanth's `Kala Prapancha' reprint version will also be released on the same day.
Nitin Shah of Sapna Book House said 52 Kannada writers and poets will also be felicitated. D Javare Gowda said releasing such a large number of books under one roof will create a record. "Nitin Shah is from Gujarat. He has taken a great step," Gowda said.
"Publishers are oxygen for writers. Like readers, their contribution in literature should be recognized. This event will remain a record in Kannada literature," Nissar Ahmed said.
