bangalore: four people died in a mudslide reported in karanji village in vijayapura police limits on the outskirts of bangalore on tuesday evening. according to police, the victims - babu, nagendra, munikrishna and krishnappa - were illegally removing lose rock formation which can be used as sand. they were trapped when it caved on them. by the time the police rushed to the spot with a jcb and a tractor to remove the mud and rescue the trapped labourers, they were dead.
