3-day book expo inaugurated

mysore: a three-day `campus book exhibition' was inaugurated by mysore university vice-chancellor prof s.n. hegde here on monday. the book expo has been organised jointly by mysore university and bangalore and mysore book-sellers and publishers association. national book trust of india, bangalore, chethana book house, mysore, prasaranga of mysore university, himalaya publishing house and oxford university press, bangalore are also participating in the exhibition being held at avrc auditorium in th campus.speaking after inaugurating the book expo, hegde said librarians were not satisfactorily utilising the grant of rs 50 lakh released by the university grants commission (ugc) every year to buy books. he said there should also be programmes to develop the habit of reading books among students. the expo will be open till wednesday.
