BENGALURU: Twenty-one women from Karnataka bagged the Women Transforming India (WTI) awards conferred recently by Niti Aayog on 75 women nationally.

As part of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to celebrate 75 years of independence, the fifth edition of WTI awards recognised 75 women achievers for their contributions towards a ‘Sashakt aur Samarth Bharat’. One of the winners, Victoria Joslin D’Souza from

Eco Solutions, told STOI it was a proud moment to be recognised for the work women entrepreneurs have put in.

“I want new people to join the industry and this award will help not just the waste ecosystem that Swachha is working on, but other sectors as well. It will encourage more women entrepreneurs to come up with innovations,” she said.
