21 cops awarded President's Medal

21 cops awarded President's Medal

BENGALURU: Twenty-one Karnataka police officers, including senior IPS officer Malini Krishnamoorthy , additional commissioner of police (West) Bengaluru, were conferred the President's Police Medals for distinguished and meritorious service on Independence Day. Besides Malini, Nelamangala DSP AB Rajendra Kumar and CID's ASI Munihanumaiah were also conferred medals for distinguished service.
The officers honoured are P Rajendra Prasad, IPS; Basavaraj Jille, Comdt.

of 6th Bn, KSRP; Shankar K Marihal, ACP-Traffic, Belagavi city; DSPs AR Balaramegowda, BK Umesh, Sudhir M Hegde, Basavaraj R Mugadum and Mahesh Meghannavar; inspector Maruti S Gullari; S-I Gangadharasa; Armed reserve S-I KA Srirama, Muniswamy Babu and Sharavan; head constables NS Iyengar Raju and K Anantha Rao; reserve head constables B Narayan Rao and Suresh S Abbigeri and police constable Abdul Sattar A Mirji.
Five personnel from state Home Guards were also honoured with the President's Home Guards and Civil Defence Medals: Ramesh, deputy commandant, his subordinates HJ Chandrakanth, Basavalingaiah, PT Basavarajappa and KV Manjunatha.
