20 police officers get prez’s medal

Bengaluru: Three IPS officers and 17 other police officers have been awarded President’s medal for distinguished and meritorious service on the occasion of Independence Day.Seemant Kumar Singh, ADGP, KSRP; S Murugan, ADGP (communication logistics and modernisation), and Sandeep Patil, IGP, KSRP, are the three IPS officers chosen for the honour.Some of the other officers were awarded for meritorious service: Raghavendra K Hegde, SP, CID; BS Mohan Kumar, DySP, head office, Bengaluru; G Nagaraj, ACP, VV Puram sub-division; G Keshava Murthy, DySP, CID; HS Jagadeesha, ACP, head office; Myakalurahalli Nagaiah Nagaraja, DySP, CID; Bheema Rao Girish, DySP, Lokayukta; BN Srinivasa, DySP, CID; Anjumala T Nayak, DySP, CID; Ashok RP (Sadashivanagar traffic), Anilkumar Prabhakar Grampurohit (CCB, Bengaluru). tnn
