BENGALURU: Two teenage Buddhist monks settled in Bylakuppe, a Tibetan settlement in Mysuru district, were found dead under mysterious circumstances on the railway track between Bettanagere and Nelamangala on Wednesday, police said.
Bengaluru Rural railway cops identified the victims as Tenzin Lama, 17, and Nyngma Sherpa, 18, both students of Namdroling Monastery, Bylakuppe.
Lama was from
Assam and Sherpa from Nepal.
SK Soumyalatha, SP (railway police), said there was no ID proof or other belongings to identify the deceased. Their photos were forwarded to the secretary of the Tibetan settlement in Bylakuppe, who identified them and said they were missing since June 12.
According to preliminary investigation, the duo left Bylakuppe on June 12 and reached Bengaluru at 2am on June 13 by bus. Police are still not aware of where and how they left Bengaluru.
