BENGALURU: After being tipped off by locals, two
policemen
chased two
muggers
at Medahalli, KR Puram, during the wee hours of Wednesday. The accused are Sandeep M and Lokesh Kumar from KR Puram's Avalahalli area. An autorickshaw used by the duo to follow the victims was also seized.
According to police, a Medarahalli resident alerted
police
around 2.30am, saying two men in an auto were found loitering in a suspicious manner.
The message was passed on to constable Srikanth Pujar and home guard Naveen Kumar who were on night rounds. They reached the spot quickly and on seeing them, the accused tried to escape.
However, the cops managed to overtake them and blocked their vehicle. The duo was chased and caught.
