10-member film panel to choose quality films

BANGALORE: The state government has constituted a 10-member consultative committee to select quality films in both Kannada and other regional languages for the year 2000-01 and 2001-02 under the chairmanship of noted writer Chandrashekar Kambar.

BANGALORE: The state government has constituted a 10-member consultative committee to select quality films in both Kannada and other regional languages for the year 2000-01 and 2001-02 under the chairmanship of noted writer Chandrashekar Kambar.
An official press release said the committee will select films based on their quality for subsidy and other facilities from the state government.

The committee''s term is one year and the members are: K.V. Akshara, J.M. Shirahatti, K.N. Tailor, Channanna Walikar, Siddalingaiah, D.V. Rajashekar, Nanjunde Gowda and Vanaja Kumar.
Information department director B.N.S. Reddy will be the member-secretary of the committee.
