A brawl over sharing a pair of jeans and cigarette had a fatal end, when a BPharma student, Keerthi Raj, allegedly stabbed his classmate, H Neeraj Sapakota , to death inside their residence in Cholurpalya, Magadi Road, on Saturday.

BANGALORE: A brawl over sharing a pair of jeans and cigarette had a fatal end, when a BPharma student, Keerthi Raj, allegedly stabbed his classmate, H Neeraj Sapakota , to death inside their residence in Cholurpalya, Magadi Road, on Saturday.
Neeraj, 23, died on the spot after Keerthi Raj, 23, stabbed him thrice on his stomach and chest. The fight began around 10.30am when Neeraj took Keerthi's jeans and T-shirt .

Students of St John's College-Vijayanagar , Neeraj, Keerthiraj and Rooby, all from Kathmandu , were staying together in Cholurpalya.
"Keerthi and Neeraj always fought with each other. Neeraj had the habit of using his friend's clothes. He would take cigarettes from them and never pay back," police said.
On Saturday, the three boys planned to visit their friends from Nepal. While Keerthi was going to take bath, he noticed that Neeraj was again wearing his jeans and T-shirt . "An argument broke out between both of them and Neeraj attacked Keerthi with a knife. An infuriated Keerthi snatched the knife and stabbed Neeraj thrice," said police.
Neighbours rushed to the flat and found Neeraj lying in a pool of blood. They alerted police who arrested Keerthi.
