: A 26-year-old-woman, a receptionist at a placement company, allegedly committed

suicide by hanging herself

from the ventilator of the kitchen at her officer in Subhashnagar on Saturday evening.

Subhashnagar police station house officer (SHO) Srikant Dwivedi said they found a

suicide

note in which the victim had alleged three colleagues of abetting her to take the extreme step.

“After the incident, the trio escaped from the office. On Sunday, we sent two teams to Moradabad and Badaun to trace the accused, identified as Mitra Pal, Arjun Thakur, both residents of Thakur Dwara in Moradabad, and Anil Kumar, a resident of Behata village in Badaun. Pal is the head of the placement company,” said SHO.

Dwivedi said, “The accused was an MA final year student of Bareilly College. She was single and living with her parents in colony under Izzatnagar police station. She had been working as a receptionist for the past three years.”

“On Saturday, around 2:30 am, her brother Firoz informed us about the incident, following that we reached the spot and found her body

hanging

from the ventilator. We also found a suicide note.”

After collecting evidences from the spot, police sent the body for post-mortem. Following the complaint filed by the victim’s father, an FIR has been lodged against the accused under section 302 (murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). “We are conducting raids to nab the accused who are still at large,” SHO added.
