: An FIR has been lodged after a
video
was circulated showing a group villagers forcing a young boy and girl riding on a motorbike to stop and then making the girl hit the boy with her slipper. Thereafter, the villagers are seen coercing her to tie a ‘
rakhi’ boy’s wrist.
After watching the video, police have lodged an FIR. They have identified one of the perpetrators as Kamlesh Patel, head of
Faridapur village
, He is now on the run.

Ashok Kumar Meena, said, “On Friday noon, I was shocked to see the video on my WhatsApp. After the investigating, we found that it was shot near Umaria – Faridapur village. Five or six people , including Patel, were involved. When a police team raided his house, he was missing.”
“We lodged an FIR against Patel and a few unidentified persons, under IPC sections 147 (rioting), 342 (wrongful confinement), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 352 (assault or criminal force otherwise than on grave provocation), 500 (defamation), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace), 506 (criminal intimidation), 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention).” Meena added.
