Student stabbed over poster dispute

BAREILLY: A 21-year-old student was stabbed to death during an argument over pasting a coaching centre’s poster on a wall in Sambhal on Wednesday night.

Police said Tejpal Yadav and his brother Rajendra Yadav fatally stabbed Rahul Yadav. On hearing Rahul’s screams, his family members came to his rescue and took him to the District Hospital, where he was declared dead. His body was later sent for the postmortem.

ASP Shreesh Chandra said, “Tejpal was putting up posters regarding building a lab in Mahora village. While doing that, he abused a few children which made the villagers, including Rahul, angry, and they stopped him from putting up the posters. Tejpal became furious and he stabbed Rahul. Tejpal Yadav is currently absconding from his village.”
