,' where she played the role of his grandmother.

Recalling memories of the late actress, the actor says, “She was a kind-hearted woman. She never let her illness affect her work. She used to be the first one to reach the set. Her presence has always given me positive vibes.” He adds, “I met her on set 15 days before her demise, she had the same smiling face that day. When she was hospitalized, I called up her caretaker to check on her health. She said that Rita is feeling better and will be resume work soon.”

Jatin shared a close bond with Rita. He says, “She used to treat me like her pota. I used to call her dadi maa. She was a great cook and many times, I would often call her, asking to cook a dish for me and she would get the same dish on sets the next day. She used to get me fish, chicken biryani and dhokla. We used to have lunch together.” Quoting her as a friendly, caring and amazing person, Jatin says,“She was very grounded. She was a mentor to me. I have learnt a lot from her as an actor and as a person too. I remember she used to pamper and even scold me for having too much coffee.”
