Sex racket busted in Moradabad, 5 held
Bareilly: Five people, including two women, were arrested after an alleged sex racket was busted in Moradabad on Saturday night. The racket was operating from an upscale residential area under Civil Lines police station, according to the cops.
Two women from West Bengal, who were being forced into illegal work, were rescued.
The accused, during interrogation, revealed that they were operating the racket in the name of a private insurance firm.

Circle officer (CO) at Civil Lines, Moradabad, Indu Sidhartha said, “There were raids in a few places after a tip-off. The gang members revealed that they used to target women in search of jobs and used to contact them. Later, they were forced to do some other work. More details are being collected to arrest others involved in the racket.”
A case has been registered against the accused persons under various sections of the Immoral Trafficking (Prevention) Act, 1956.
Further investigation is underway, the police said.
