Baisakhi is a festival that's celebrated with huge fanfare and excitement every year. And this year when the entire nation is under complete lockdown due to coronavirus pandemic, Baisakhi celebrations was a quite a low-key affair. And amid quiet celebrations this year,
actor Payal Ghosh
celebrated the essence of the festival in her own way by cooking food for her building guards, which was a great gesture.
Patel Ki Punjabi Shaadi fame actor, Payal Ghosh, while maintaining the social distance cooked food for the security guards of her building that was a good example to follow the protocols and also spreading happiness. She says, "As we celebrate Baisakhi and the next day happens to be our Bengali New Year, I thought to spend some time with our guards and cooked some snacks for them as they are working tirelessly and helping us out in everything. They are helping us in getting vegetables, water etc as outsiders are not allowed within the society, so I’m trying to make tea for them, and doing things whatever is possible. I feel, this is the time we need to support each other . I also shared cake with them as Baisakhi is my brother’s birthday too."
