Man, his lover held for killing mother

, Rahul Jaiswal, a businessman in

Bilsanda

town under Bilsanda police station, was arrested by police along with a 26-year-old woman on Thursday for allegedly killing his mother Uma Jaiswal.


Both were sent to jail after police booked them under section 302 (murder) of the

Indian Penal Code

(IPC).

The body of Uma Jaiswal was found abandoned by police on May 25 from a field on the outskirts of Bilsanda town.

According to the autopsy report, the cause of death was strangulation.

SHO CP Shukla said, “During investigation, it was found that Rahul is in a relationship with Priyanka Pandey of Pokhra village under Mahrajganj police station in Bihar’s

Siwan district

. However, she has been living with one of her relatives in Eintgaon village under Bilsanda police station for one and a half years.”

“Rahul wanted to marry Priyanka but his mother was opposed to it for some unknown reason. Thus, he murdered his mother with the help of the girl,” he added.
