Man dies after motorbike collides with truck

BAREILLY

: A 55-year-old man was killed after his motorbike collided with a speeding truck coming from opposite direction near Pilibhit bypass road under Baradari police station on Thursday morning.

Baradari police station house officer (SHO) Sunendra Singh, said, “We received the information about the incident by a passer-by. We rushed to the spot where locals were already gathered and nabbed the accused truck driver. We have arrested the accused and sent the injured man to nearby private hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.”

“Following a complaint filed by deceased man’s brother Jitendra Singh against Khan, an FIR has been lodged under the sections 304A (causing death by negligence), 279 (rash driving) and 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) of IPC,” SHO added.

Jitendra Singh, said, “Two months ago, my brother’s wife Anju Devi had undergone surgery as she had been suffering from kidney’s stone. On Thursday morning around 9:30 am, after purchasing medicines for her, my brother was returning home when the incident happened.”
