PILIBHIT: As many as 143 out of 150 students of LLB sixth semester of Hafiz Rahmat Khan Law College, Pilibhit, failed their final exam, after which they accused examiners of MJP Rohilkhand University of biased and unfair marking.
The examination was held in June-July this year and the result was announced in the third week of October.
The students have also claimed even meritorious students have been given extremely poor marks.
A joint-memorandum in this regard has been submitted to the vice-chancellor of the university, demanding re-examinations.
However, college principal Rashid Malik claimed that unfair marking was a result of a face-off between students and teachers at the Bareilly college when the vice chancellor had come for inspection.
According to Malik, students of Hafiz Rahmat Khan College, along with other colleges affiliated with MJP Rohilkhand University, had to suffer the wrath of misbehaving with the vice chancellor.
“On the day when right to information paper was held, vice chancellor Professor Mushahid Hussain had visited Bareilly College for inspection of examination arrangements. A group of LLB students had misbehaved with him over some unknown issue. In retaliation of this misconduct, the VC penalized the students of all the 16 private colleges, who appeared in the RTI paper,” claimed principal Malik.
The students of Hafiz Rahmat Khan Law College have said they would first demand a retest from the college administration.
