Bareilly: Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav’s ambitious project to upgrade 18 model schools in the region under ‘Samajwadi Abhibav Vidyalaya’ took unexpected jolt after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) recently returned the file quoting incomplete papers for affiliation purpose.
Now, officials are working over the objections and are planning to resend the files soon.
As per district education officials, state government’s ‘Samajwadi Abhinav Vidyalaya’ project faced unexpected shock after CBSE returned affiliation files of these schools.
District Inspector of Schools (DIOS) Gajendra Kumar said, “The file concerning the affiliation of the schools was returned due to incomplete paper formalities, which will be completed at the earliest and will be sent back soon to CBSE.”
Giving details about the objections raised by CBSE, Kumar said, “Papers related to the national building code, omission of firms name under public private partnership, no objection certificate from the fire department and others were some of key papers that were allegedly missing from the file that were sent to CBSE for further process.”
The state government had chosen 18 model schools from 18 divisions for upgradation under ‘Samajwadi Abhinav Viayalaya’ scheme, where admission for Class VI to Class XII are currently going on.
At present 18 schools in districts namely Agra, Aligarh, Allahabad, Ajamgarh, Basti, Bareilly, Lucknow, Meerut , Muradabad, Gorakhpur, Jhasi, Kanpur, Saharanpur, Varanasi, Faizabad, Chitrakoot, Mirjapur and Devipatan.
These schools will be from Class VI to Class XII where 35 students at maximum will be enrolled in Class VI to Class VIII each while around 40 students will be admitted in Class IX to Class XII.
In Atacheri school under Maghgawa block in bareilly district as many as 68 students had taken admission so far confirmed an education official.
