Hartmann College of Bareilly recently organized its Annual Sports 2018, keeping in mind the importance of sports in all-round development of the students. The Chief Guest of the event was Surendra Prakash Singh, Former Chief Justice of Chandigarh High Court, who declared the sports meet open in the presence of Father Peter Vijay Minj, the school Principal and athletes carried the torch of light and participated in oath taking ceremony.
The program commenced with march past wherein students from respective houses of the school marched elegantly in total unison and harmony that was further followed by a dance performance. The highlight of the sports activities were several races like Butterfly race, 4X100m Relay race, 400m, 100m, 200m where boys and girls participated. An inter-school 4X100 m relay race was also organized during the meet, wherein Bareilly schools like Bedi International, St Francis Convent, Wood Row Senior Secondary, DPS, Sobti Public School and Hartmann College participated. Variety of drills was displayed with great perfection viz Hula Hoops along with Martial Arts display that made the spectators speechless. Making the event colorful and full of vigor, the cultural performances enhanced the beauty of the sports day. Be it fusion dance or dance items on blooming blossom, head over heels, beat buster etc, the performances simply mesmerized everyone, which was followed by ‘grand finale’ where best of cultural performances were given a glimpse at the end. Later, the winners of the various events and competitions including the best athlete award in sub-junior, junior and senior categories were awarded along with sports championship trophy to the winning house.

, one of the guests seated among the audience, said, “It was a well-organized event and since there were several students participating in each program, it gave large number of children to showcase their talent. It was a treat to watch events happening one after another meticulously and in a well-synchronized way that shows the amount of efforts put in to give a great show.”

, another guests spotted enjoying the event, said, “It was fun to see small children dancing on foot-tapping numbers with great energy. The sports events and PT display was a treat to watch, where we could see the sportsman spirit among these growing children.”
