Five killed after two bikes collide in UP's Amroha

Five people, including a child, died on the spot and three others injured after two motorcycles collided in Amroha's Adampur area on Monday night. Six members of the same family, including those dead -- Phool Singh (55), his brother Satpal (35), cousin Naresh (22) and niece Chavi (5) -- were on one bike, while two friends were on the other bike. All of them were returning from a wedding function.

AMROHA: Five people, including a child, died on the spot and three others injured after two motorcycles collided in Amroha's Adampur area on Monday night. Akash Kumar (26) from Hasanpur on the other bike died in the accident.

Three others, Vijendra Singh, Kapil Kumar and Luvkush sustained injuries and were admitted to district hospital. Police said their condition is stable.
The bikes were speeding and no one was wearing a helmet, according to police. It seems the rider of one of the bikes lost control at a road curve, police said.
According to police, the family of six were from Guretha village in Hasanpur. The two friends were from Hasanpur's Kala Shaheed mohalla.
On receiving information, police led by Hasanpur circle officer Satish Kumar Pandey, rushed to the scene and took the bodies to district hospital for autopsy. Meanwhile, local MLA Mahendra Singh Khadagvanshi met the aggrieved families.
