Cops doubt abduction, robbery plaint by MLA’s staff
MORADABAD: Even though an FIR has been registered following a complaint by BJP MLA Ritesh Gupta’s computer operator Anil Saini, officials said that the story and sequence of events narrated by the complainant appears doubtful.
According to Saini, he was abducted and robbed on gunpoint by four unidentified men at Delhi road on Friday evening. He said that he was waiting for a bus to Amroha when the incident took place. Police said that the computer operator has further claimed that he was beaten, robbed of Rs 13,000 and pushed inside a car. He was then taken to a nearby ATM, from where he was taken to a jungle in Kundarki.

Later in the day, an FIR was registered against unidentified assailants at Majhola kotwali police station. Majhola SHO Vikas Saxena said, “We have registered an FIR against four men under IPC section 394 (voluntarily causing hurt in committing robbery) and are investigation the matter.”

circle officer Aparna Gupta said, “Soon after getting the information, investigation was launched. However, nothing was found till 4am on Saturday. The complainant was unable to even tell the exact spot from where he was picked up. Prima facie it appears to be a manufactured case but we are still probing.”Later in the day, an FIR was registered against unidentified assailants at Majhola kotwali police station.
