Bareilly: During Urs-e-Razvi, clerics will ask affluent businessmen of the community to open educational institutes in their areas to improve literacy rate among Muslims. They said that even if the businessmen accepted fees from students at the schools they set up, it would still be social work.
Mufti Mohammed Salim Noori, spokesperson of Dargah Aala Hazrat said, “To improve the literacy rate among the community, we will ask affluent businessmen to invest in opening educational institutes in their respective areas. It will help them make revenue and also do social work for the community. Education will also discourage people from adopting criminal paths for easy money.”
Those members of the community who cannot afford to set up schools and colleges in their areas will be requested to fund the fees for a poor student. If a person contributes some portion of his income to pay the fees of students, it will be a noble initiative, said clerics.
The 99th Urs-e-Razvi, the death anniversary of Mujadid Imam Ahmed Raza Khan Qadri, who propagated the Barelvi school of Islam, is likely to be attended by lakhs of people from across the world.
