Pilibhit: A case has been registered against a 22-year-old man for allegedly molesting a Class 9 student and threatening to kill her.
The girl’s mother lodged a police complaint alleging that the man repeatedly harassed the 15-year-old in public and put pressure on her to live with him. Following the intimidation, the girl stopped going to school and attending coaching classes. On Monday around 6.30pm, the man allegedly passed derogatory remarks at her and dragged her by her arm when she was returning home from her coaching class.
Pilibhit Kotwali SHO Satyendra Kumar said a case has been registered against the accused under section 74 (criminal force to a woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 351 (3) (criminal intimidation) and 352 (intentional insult) of BNS.
