Agra: Central government has rejected detailed project report (DPR) of Agra metro rail development project. Now, Agra Development Authority (ADA) will have to prepare new DPR in accordancw with the norms of the metro rail policy 2017 laid down by the ministry of urban development. For this, initial survey will start soon.

Yogendra Kumar, officer on special duty, ADA said, “Detailed guidelines regarding Agra metro rail development project are awaited. Following which initial survey will be initiated. DPR will be prepared afresh based on latest metro rail policy laid down by ministry.”

ADA sources said around Rs 2.5 crore was spent on preparing the DPR.
