by a margin of around 61,000 votes. Abdullah secured 1,26,162 votes. He defeated NDA candidate Haider Ali Khan who got around 65,000 votes.Abdullah Azam said: "We wholeheartedly welcome the public mandate. Today's victory was possible only due to their support and trust. Despite the allegations of buffalo theft against us, Suar voted for us."Azam's close aide and sitting MLA from Chamrawa assembly seat Naseer Ahmed Khan also defeated BJP's Mohan Lodhi by around 34,000 votes. The SP secured victory on three out of five seats in Rampur district on Thursday.
