RAMPUR: An FIR was registered on Thursday against Rampur’s former circle officer Alay Hasan Khan and sub-inspector Feroz Khan following a complaint by a local resident at Ganj police station that the two and six others had robbed, ransacked and demolished his house when the Samajwadi Party had been in power.

Wanted in 30 cases, including extortion and land grab, he is absconding. In July, authorities had issued a lookout circular against him.
Complainant Idrees approached office of Rampur SP Ajay Pal Sharma on Thursday and pleaded that an FIR be registered against Alay Hasan, then SI posted at Ganj Kotwali Feroz Khan and six other confidents of SP leader Azam Khan.
According to police, Idrees claimed that Alay Hasan, SI Feroz and their accomplices had barged into his house on December 6, 2016 at 10 am and assaulted him and his wife. Idress alleged that one of them fired a shot and the assaulters had outraged the modesty of his wife and robbed them of their jewellery and Rs 20,000.
The Ganj police has registered an FIR against Alay Hasan Khan and his aides under IPC section 427 (mischief causing damage ), 447 (criminal trespass ), 392 (robbery), 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 307(attempt to murder ), 323(voluntary causing hurt), 504 (provoke breach of peace ), 452 (house trespass after preparation for hurt ) and 147 (rioting).
Speaking with TOI, Rampur SP Sharma said, “Raids are on to arrest Alay Hasan Khan. The process to attach his properties will also be initiated if he does not surrender soon. The lookout circular has already been issued against him.”
