3 stranded students arrive in Rampur

Rampur: Three medical students returned here from Ukraine via Hungary on Monday evening by the special flight arranged by the Government of India.

Rampur’s additional district magistrate Vaibhav Sharma , who is in charge of the relief operation here, told TOI, “The process of evacuating 23 other students from Rampur stranded in war-torn Ukraine is underway.”

Thanking the central government for his evacuation, Subhan Ali, a first-year medical student said, “The university authorities transported us up to the Hungary border from where the Indian embassy officials sent us home by the special flight from Budapest.”

The other two students, Shehar Khan and Zeeshan (who goes by his first name), have been united with their families.
