Aurangabad: Minister of state for Railways
Raosaheb Danve on Saturday tested positive for Covid-19.
This is for the second time that the BJP leader has contracted the infection. Prior to this, he had tested positive in January 2021.
“After experiencing
Covid
symptoms, I have tested positive for coronavirus. Everyone should note that I am in isolation for the next few days on the doctor's advice. Those who were in contact with me should immediately undergo Covid test and take care of themselves. Thank you,” the BJP leader has said in his latest Tweet.
Danve reached his hometown
Jalna
on Friday evening and proceeded to Bhokaradan where he is under home isolation. The close acquaintances of the leader said he was having mild symptoms.
Danve, who attended a few public functions in the recent past, had evoked criticism for allegedly not following Covid appropriate behaviour during one of the events held at Jalna on January 2.
Raosaheb Danve who flagged off Kisan Rail was not wearing a facemask during the event.
Earlier on January 6,
MoS Bharati Pawar
also tested positive for the Covid and has isolated herself at home. tnn
