AURANGABAD: Parbhani police along with the Government Railway Police (GRP) — probing the murder of a 19-year old unidentified woman, who had been bludgeoned to death in the vicinity of Purna railway station on September 19 — have arrested the woman’s husband from Hyderabad.
According to police, while screening the footage of the CCTV cameras installed at the railway station, the accused was found moving around with the deceased. Using the footage, the police teams tracked down the train boarded by the accused and found that he had alighted at Hyderabad railway station.
The accused has been identified as Arbaz Pathan (22), while the deceased has been identified as Yasmin Khatoon — both residents of Hyderabad. Partur police station’s assistant inspector Subhashchandra Markad said, the accused is currently in transit remand.
