To counter Modi’s ‘Ek Hai Toh Safe Hai’ slogan, Owaisi says ‘Anek Hai Toh Akhand Hai’
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday countered Prime Minister Narendra Modi's slogan "Ek Hai Toh Safe Hai" with his unity-in-diversity slogan: "Anek Hai Toh Akhand Hai. Insaf Hai Toh India Safe Hai. Samvidhan Hai Toh Samman Hai... "He challenged PM Modi to make his stand clear on his party politicians publicly threatening to barge into mosques and assault Muslims. He blamed Modi for dividing OBCs and Marathas in Maharashtra and said, "I appeal to OBCs and Marathas to not fall prey to such traps."Hailing quota activist Manoj Jarange, Owaisi said a common man like Jarange is giving sleepless nights to PM Narendra Modi, who is now claiming that the backwards are being divided. The Hyderabad MP said PM Modi is dividing Hindus and Muslims, and after taking votes, he takes all investments to Gujarat. He questioned the "compromise" Indian govt made with China, which usurped thousands of square kilometres of Indian territory. Owaisi also claimed BJP and RSS have fielded 100 independent candidates with Urdu names across Maharashtra with the motive of dividing the votes. These people only want to defeat AIMIM candidates, and are least bothered about who wins, he added.Owaisi also pointed out that the Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs were absent when the proposed wakf amendments were tabled in Parliament. He said this Act would snatch away mosques, dargahs, and religious places across the country, and blamed "secular" forces for defeating Imtiaz Jaleel in Lok Sabha polls. He said Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district's per capita income is less than the state's average. "Maharashtra's unemployment percentage is 3.3. The textile park promised in this district has been shifted to Amravati. Maharashtra was once an industrial, but now the industries are being shifted to Gujarat," he alleged"In 2023, 2,850 farmers committed suicide. Why did PM Modi and Amit Shah not visit the families of these farmers?" he asked.Owaisi held door-to-door campaigns in Aurangabad East and Central from where his party candidates Syed Imtiaz Jaleel and Naseruddin Siddiqui, respectively, are contesting. He also said that the party lodged a police complaint against a candidate from Parbhani claiming to be AIMIM's official candidate and contesting assembly elections.
