Aurangabad: A clash between
NCP and
Shiv Sena workers in Ramnagar of Jalna district took a violent turn on Thursday morning. A 22-year old
Sena worker, Vijay Dhegde, suffered a bullet injury. The incident is a fallout of alleged encroachment by members of one group.
Police teams rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. So far, 20 accused, of both sides, have been arrested.
Jalna SP Vinayak Deshmukh said the number of accused being arrested is likely to go up. He said the clash took place between the groups led by Ramesh Joshi (NCP) and Shivaji Shejul (Sena). Based on the complaints lodged by both sides, two offences have been registered.
Additional SP Vikrant Deshmukh said, Joshi allegedly fired a round leaving the Sena worker injured.
