Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Managements of schools and colleges, besides candidates and exam centre staffers, will also face action for malpractices during the HSC and SSC exams, Jitendra Papalkar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Divisional Commissioner, said.
"The glaring irregularities at some examination centres in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar division became a talking point across the state, tarnishing the image of the region. Therefore, all agencies should work more responsibly to prevent such incidents from happening in the future," he said.
Papalkar directed officials to strengthen the control rooms, flying squads, and vigilance systems in each district to maintain transparency in examinations.
"The police administration from each of Marathwada's districts was instructed to take prompt action to register criminal cases at places where irregularities take place during the board exams," he said.
While videos of malpractices at Chousala in Beed district went viral, separate control rooms and 103 squads were set up for all 103 examination centres in the district as a precautionary measure. Regular inspections were also ordered at all centres in the district. Suspension action was proposed against a group of staff from this centre, along with a rural centre from Kannad taluka of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district.
"Keeping in mind the future of the students, it is necessary that exams be held in a disciplined environment. All officers, employees and institution managers should work together to achieve this," the divisional commissioner said.
