Jalna police raid 1 acre mature marijuana farm

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Paradh police of Jalna district raided a farm on Thursday which had an acre of fully-grown mature marijuana crop, estimated to cost multiple crores. The action was carried out in Kalyani Shivar of Bhokardan tehsil by Paradh police station’s assistant inspector, Chainsingh Ghusinge.
According to the preliminary reports, the suspect hailing from village Kathora Bazar allegedly planted marijuana on his farmland. On learning about it, a team led by API Ghusinge, along with revenue and agriculture officials, conducted the raid. They carried out the panchanama before uprooting them with the help of farm laborers sourced from nearby villages.
As per the preliminary reports, over 500 fully grown marijuana plants have been seized by the police teams. The police are in the process of registering an FIR in accordance with the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
