Health checks of CSMC sanitation workers

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The local chapter of the Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Tuesday held special health check-ups for the sanitary staffers of the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation (CSMC).
“Comprehensive health check-ups were conducted for the sanitation workers during the day-long drive. Besides general check-ups, bone density, pulmonary function and eye examinations were carried out free during the drive,” IMA local chapter president Dr Yashwant Gade said.
Chapter secretary Dr Anupam Takalkar said that the IMA felt it was its duty to offer free healthcare to the workforce that keeps the city clean and hygienic. “We are now planning a similar free health check-up drive in near future for the employees of the CSMC,” he said. CSMC health officer Dr Paras Mandlecha lauded different community-oriented health initiatives being carried out by the IMA local chapter.
“The free OPD service by specialist doctors, adoption of villagers and health check-up camps for civic workforce show the social commitment of the IMA members,” he said.
