Germany to promote innovation culture in Aurangabad
AURANGABAD: A delegation of industries and institutes from Aurangabad met mayor of Germany’s Karlsruhe in Pune on Tuesday.
A delegation representing Aurangabad industries and institutes Sunil Kirdak interacted with German delegation from state of Baden Wurttemberg, Germany and discussed potential collaborations between city of Karlsruhe and Aurangabad. A presentation on the strengths of Aurangabad was made by delegation to Karlsruhe mayor Frank Mentrup and his team from economic development department. Mentrup committed full support to develop an Industry 4.0 cluster and a digital hub to be set-up with state of Baden Wurttemberg support in Aurangabad.
An official from department of economic development and international cooperation expressed interest to visit Aurangabad in order to start mutually beneficial projects with local industries. The meeting between Aurangabd and German delegation was facilitated by GIZ India MSME INNO project. Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries & Agriculture (Massia) secretary Manish Agrawal is keen to work on the points discussed during this meeting.
German delegation showed keen interest in organising a national-level Indo-German SME conclave in city of Aurangabad, which may act as a catalyst to promote Industry 4.0 culture in Aurangabad MSMEs. Tasavvar Ali from GIZ India supported and coordinated the meeting delegates from Germany and Aurangabad.
