Aurangabad: A 66-year-old realtor was robbed of his gold chains weighing about 130 gram in broad daylight in Aurangabad city on Wednesday.
Gold chains worth over Rs 6 lakh were robbed. The incident that took place in the vicinity of the Varad Ganesh temple — an upscale business cum residential locality — has stunned the locals.
Authorities said they have found CCTV footage of the suspects, and the process to identify them is underway.
Kranti Chowk police station registered a case of robbery against two unidentified suspects, who are estimated to be in their mid-20s.

Ashok Patil who is a resident of Nandanvan Colony, in his complaint to the police said the accused targeted him when he was alone in his office.
After barging into his office, the unidentified suspects thrashed him and threatened him with dire consequences. The duo stuffed Patil’s mouth with a handkerchief preventing him from raising an alarm.
Then they robbed his gold chains and fled the spot. They left a piece of gold chain.
Later it was found that the accused managed to flee with 130 gram of gold chain.
On learning about the incident, multiple teams from the crime branch rushed to the spot.
A source said that first, it was a woman, who went inside and checked if Patil was at the office. Within minutes of her stepping out, the duo entered the office and robbed Patil.
