AURANGABAD: A city-based theatre group, Pratyay Haushi Natya Kala Kendra, is organising a four-day national drama festival starting from February 23.
Theatre groups from Solapur, Hyderabad and Pune will be participating at the event. The home group, Pratyay Kala Kendra, will be staging two of their productions during the event. The event has been organised at the Keshavrao Bhosale Natyagruha.
Veteran film actor,
Atul Kulkarni, has been invited for the inauguration ceremony.
According to the organising theatre group officials, Pratyay Haushi Natya Kala Kendra has been producing plays from the last 30 years now. They have provided a wide range of plays on a variety of subjects and stretch the human feelings.
The officials added, “Actors Sagar Talashikar and
Hrishikesh Joshi have been invited for an interactive session with the audience on February 24 and February 25.”
An official from the organising committee said, “A similar kind of festival, Pratisad, was last organised in the year 1991-92. We are hoping to stretch a similar kind of event and will be showcasing at least five to 10 plays. We are hoping to get a productive response from the audience. We will make sure that the festival remains to be a memorable experience for the audience.”
Plays such as Natakkarachya Shodhat Saha Patre, Kabira Khada Bazar Me, Mai Rahi Masum, White Rabbit Red Rabbit, and Copenhagen will be staged during the festival.
