Aurangabad hosts mini Kaizen convention

Around 80 teams, including those representing prominent industry houses among others, took part in a mini Kaizen convention, organised by local chapters of Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) and Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) at Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College (JNEC) here recently.

Aurangabad: Around 80 teams, including those representing prominent industry houses among others, took part in a mini Kaizen convention, organised by local chapters of Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI) and Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) at Jawaharlal Nehru Engineering College (JNEC) here recently.
Addressing the valedictory function, industrialist Mohini Kelkar appealed to participants to inculcate principles of Kaizen.

"Having a self-disciplined approach and maintaining proper work-culture are two common factors that find place in Japanese management tools, including Kaizen. There is a need to inculcate these values from the very beginning," she said.
The convention saw competitions taking place for participants on different themes of Kaizen with winners getting selected for best performances.
