AURANGABAD: Release of seven lakh cusecs of water from Rihand dam has created a flood-like situation in Daudnagar and Nabinagar bocks of the district. The water level of Sone has increased drastically due to the release. At some places, water is flowing over the roads.

The district administration has sounded alert in the two blocks. District magistrate (DM) Kawal Tanuj has asked officials to keep an eye on the situation round the clock. He has also asked SDMs of Aurangabad and Daudnagar to camp in the affected areas to monitor rescue operation.
