The district administration has said that as many as 1,549 patients have been cured and got discharged from the hospitals, while the total number of active cases stands at 1,119.
Meanwhile, as the number of Covid-19 patients exceeded the number of beds at its dedicated Covid ward, the GMCH has shifted 15 patients to the super-speciality block. However, due to the long distance between the medicine ward and the super-speciality block, the hospital has begun the work to prepare a 40-bed Covid care facility in Wards 8 and 9 near medicine building. The facility is expected to be ready in 2-3 days.
