24-year-old pregnant woman commits suicide

Aurangabad: A 24-year-old pregnant woman committed suicide in the early hours of Saturday.
The deceased has been identified as Jaishree Patil. The incident took place in the Bajaj Nagar area of MIDC Waluj. On learning about the incident, a police team rushed to the spot and found her body hanging from the ceiling fan.
The body was brought down and taken to the hospital where she was declared brought dead.
The relatives of the deceased woman rushed to GMCH where a heated argument followed and a clash broke out between them and victim’s in laws.
Soon the police teams had to be rushed to the spot and situation was brought under control. Police, citing version of the victim’s family, said that the woman was allegedly being tortured and harassed over petty issues.
