20 injured after vehicle turns turtle
Aurangabad: A total of 20 people, including four women and three children, were
The injured were taken to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where the condition of some of them was said to be serious. However, six people with minor injuries were discharged from the hospital after administering first-aid.
Those still undergoing treatment at the GMCH have been identified as Shalini Jadhav (55), Krishna Jadhav (58), Sachin Bharag Jadhav (17), Shoeb Pathan (32), Shahrukh Shah (14), Dagdu Shah (15), Sonali Arun Jadhav (25), Tarabai Pralhad Jadhav (40), Yogesh Jadhav (38), Sheshrao Jadhav (66), Kalawati Pandarinath Jadhav (65), Aniket Yashwnat Jadhav (15) and Shahid Mukhtar Shaikh (13).
All injured are residents of Kolambi village in Kannad tehsil and were heading toward’s Nayegaon to attend a marriage. At Adgaon in Phulambri tehsil, the driver lost control of the private vehicle at a turn, leading to the accident.
25-year-old Swapnil Jadhav, who works in the Indian army, was also in the vehicle and sustained injuries. Despite this, he was the first to start rescuing the people and called for the ambulance from Kolambi.
Information about the accident was passed on to the people at Kolambi who sent three ambulances to the spot and the injured were sent to the GMCH.
A case has been registered at Phulambri police station of Aurangabad rural police.
