As per the complaint lodged by his father Balasaheb Uttamrao Salunke, his son left home around 3 pm on Monday on the pretext of attending tuition. Before leaving home, he informed his mother that he would return in the evening. Police said that the family members of the minor got worried after he did not return till late evening on Monday and launched a manhunt for him. The family members failing to find him till Tuesday morning, reached out to the MIDC Waluj police station and lodged a complaint, following which the police registered a case of kidnapping against unidentified suspect.
Medico’s cash, documents stolen from car
AURANGABAD: Unidentified suspects stole key documents and some cash belonging to city based doctor sometime on Sunday night from TV Centre area. The cash and the documents were stolen from the doctor's car that was in TV Centre area between 7 pm and 8 pm on Sunday.
The 36-year old medical practitioner identified as Sandeep Ramkrishna Hambarde, a resident of N-5, Cidco, lodged a complaint with the Cidco police stating that he parked his car in front of the Chavan Hospital in the TV Centre area before entering the hospital at 7 pm and was shocked to see the papers and money not in place upon his return at 8 pm. A case has been registered in the police station. Police said that the CCTV cameras installed in the area are being scanned to identify the suspects who allegedly laid hands on the valuables belonging to the medico.
Couple of phones, bikes worth several thousand stolen
AURANGABAD: In a spree of thefts two motorcycles and equal number of mobile phones running in to several thousands have been stolen from the city limits recently. Taking cognizance of the complaints lodged, cases of thefts have been registered at area police station concerned.
In the cases of bike thefts, the police said that 26-year old Vikas Vijaykumar Rewanshete, a resident of Osmanpura lodged a complaint with the MIDC Waluj police station stating that he parked his bike with registration number MH-24-Z-4225 in Ambedkar Nagar of Bajajnagar, Waluj at 7 am on Monday and found it stolen hours later. Failing to find it he approached the area police station and lodged a complaint against unidentified suspect for stealing his bike.
In the second incident, reported from the limits of Kranti Chowk police station, a 28-year old resident of Padampura, Nitin Fakirrao Shinde lodged a complaint stating that his bike with registration number MH-20-Z-9378 was stolen from outside his house in the intervening night of Monday and Tuesday. Based on his complaint, a case of theft has been registered against unidentified as suspect.
Police said that in the cases of mobile theft, a 24-year old Pratik Subhash Verma, a resident of Bhanudasnagar lodged a complaint stating that his mobile phone was stolen from his house while he was sleeping in his house leaving doors of his house ajar. The incident took place sometime between 12.30 am and 3 am on Sunday. A case has been registered with Jawahar Nagar police station. In a similar incident another mobile phone handset was stolen from a house with in Shivaji Nagar area between 7 pm and 7.15 pm on Monday. Based on the complaint lodged 58-year old Sanjeev Vishwanath Dahiwal, a case of theft has been registered at Jawahar Nagar police station.
