in district Mansa, who passed away while participating in the ongoing farmer struggle against agri laws.
Singla also handed over cheque of financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the bereaved family which was received by wife of the deceased farmer,
Manjit Kaur
, brother and children. Dhanna Singh had in
road accident on November 27 while going to Delhi on tractor whereas two farmers accompanying him had sustained injuries in the accident.
Singla said that the Punjab government always stood firm with the farmers, their families and farmer associations. He said that farmer Dhanna Singh has lost his life for the rights of farmers.
He assured that the Punjab government was fully committed to provide quality education to the children of the deceased farmer and also provide treatment to the injured farmers

Singla said that Punjab government from the beginning has taken stern action against these black laws passed by the Modi Government and working to address the grievances of the farmers and farmer associations as Punjab was the first state in the country where all the three black laws were repealed and at the same time a new law was enacted under which there is provision of imprisonment of yup to 3 years to anyone who buy crops below MSP.
