JALLUPUR KHERA: Police on Wednesday questioned absconding 'Waris Punjab De' chief Amritpal Singh’s wife Kirandeep Kaur and mother Balwinder Kaur at his native village Jallupur Khera near Amritsar.

He also refused to go into the details of the visit of a senior woman police officer at the house of Amritpal Singh.
The police team remained at the house of Amritpal for about an hour but didn’t talk to media persons when they came out after questioning the two women and left for Amritsar.
Sources said that the woman police officer talked to the mother and wife of Amritpal Singh.
As per the reports, police were investigating the past of Kirandeep Kaur or any of her links with the hardline Sikh groups.
Notably on February 10, pro-Khalistan Sikh leader and president of Waris Punjab Dae (WPD) Amritpal Singh married UK-based NRI Kirandeep Kaur at Jallupur Khera. Amritpal was in touch with Kirandeep for the past one year.
